Adult formation

Exploring Our Faith

9am on Sunday Mornings beginning 9/17/23

Christian formation for adults is something we take seriously at St. Andrew’s. In addition to special events and presentations throughout the year, our Sunday bulletin covers feature series on subjects that have included the Creeds, Old Testament highlights, the parables of Jesus, the Eucharist and the “wells of wisdom” from which Anglicanism draws its ethical and moral teaching. During the Sundays beginning after Labor Day the series is on the Outline of the Faith: Commonly Called the Catechism, contained in the Book of Common Prayer. This series will be a stroll through Christian faith from its understanding of Human Nature to its concluding teaching on The Christian Hope. The bulletin essays are accompanied by an informal class from 9:00 to 10:00 in the Great Hall. In that comfortable setting we dig deeper into the week’s subject, share questions and thoughts, and get to know our fellow Christian pilgrims better. The classes are designed so people can take in single sessions or be regular participants.
