I'm new here. What should I know?

  • First, you should know that we are glad you are interested in St. Andrew's and we look forward to making your acquaintance soon.
  • Second, you should know that St. Andrew's is a lovely church community to be a part of. The rest are some good things to know about our building.
  • There is a parking lot beside/behind the great hall building, which is attached to the right of the main church.  You can also park on either side of the street.
  • There are two entrances to the church. From the street, the red main doors enter into the narthex (entrance vestibule) and from there into the rear of the church.
  • If you enter through the "Great Hall" building, follow the long hallway to the stairs or elevator and enter through the stone passageway on the left to the front of the church.
  • See the church floorplan for a detailed layout of the church building.
  • Ushers are typically stationed in the narthex to greet you, give you a bulletin for the service, and help you find a seat.
  • Except for the choir section by the organ, there are no assigned seats or pews.  You may sit wherever you feel comfortable.
  • There is an upstairs balcony, but it is rarely used unless there is no room in the main pews.
  • Children of all ages are welcome.
  • There are occasions when services are held in the "Great Hall", which is the large room in the building to the right of the main church.
